Amanda Tapping飾演一位157歲的Helen Magnus博士，英國維多利亞時代皇家學院第一批女博士之一，她曾和開膛手杰克訂婚并有了一個女兒Ashley。不過Ashley不知道他的父親是杰克。Magnus博士父親創(chuàng)立了一家神秘生物的庇護所，這些生物從全世界搜集而來。在研究這些生物的過程中，Magnus博士發(fā)現(xiàn)她獲得了長壽。
